Health Fair 2024

Rey of Hope Community Health Fair
The inaugural Rey of Hope Health Fair, held in honor of the late Dora Grant, was inspired by her love of family, community, and bringing people together. Hosted in the East Baltimore Midway community, the event was created with a meaningful goal: to bring greater awareness and education to the community about diabetes and heart disease, while encouraging individuals and families to become more proactive about their overall health and wellness.
The Health Fair brought together community organizations, local businesses, health and wellness resources, and residents in an atmosphere centered on education, prevention, connection, and community engagement. Participating organizations included the Red Cross, Turn Around Tuesday, House of Lasting Love, Sparkle with Sam’s, and other valued community partners.
The day also celebrated community through music and entertainment, including DJ Sean Nice, Stephen Bell, spoken-word artist Ms. Kellie, and the Lady Bear Cats.
More than an event, the Health Fair reflected Rey of Hope’s commitment to building meaningful relationships, increasing access to community resources, promoting healthier lifestyles, and strengthening the communities we serve.
Building Relationships Is the Vehicle for CHANGE!
